Za'atar and more of life's essentials

Right at the start of this experiment, we wanted to fess up about just how much stuff we've got in our kitchen store cupboards.  We both love to cook (well let's be honest, we love to eat really) and we can't resist a new ingredient.  Our spice rack is stuffed full and we grow some herbs in the garden too, although they're not looking too perky just now so no photos.

We've got jars of all sorts of rices, pulses, sugars and more...

About a million condiments of one variety or another....

And 2 fridges (oh for the day when we can have one proper sized one like normal people).  One that's pretty full...

... and one that's almost empty.

And this is our freezer.  Yes, really.

That's 2 scones in case of emergency.  A cool pack.  And I couldn't even hazard a guess about the foil wrapped thing.  Must investigate.

An untidy cupboard full of baking essentials - flour, sugar etc.  Never know when you might need to bake an emergency cake.

And finally, a slightly sad looking fruit & veg bowl.

So that's it.  Hopefully all the store cupboard stuff will mean that we'll still be able to eat interesting stuff even when we can't find more exotic ingredients in our little & local shops.  We shall see...
